Romantic Holidays in Spain

Spain is one of the most popular destinations for British tourist, and it is often associated with Majorca holiday deals and the like which allow people to get here cheaply. Yet it is also a wonderful place to go for a unique, romantic trip with that special someone.

The ideal situation to go for a romantic holiday is the beach. Sadly, many of Spain’s beaches are inundated with tourists who are sure to ruin the atmosphere. Of course there are still a few sites which have escaped the notice of these hordes, Colonia de Saint Jordi is on Mallorca is one such place.

If you can’t find yourself anywhere for seaside seclusion you should try heading inland to witness Spain’s lovely countryside. Head into the hills of Andalusia and stay in romantic castles and small isolated villages – this type of holiday is a particularly good idea if you enjoy spending time in the great outdoors.

Finally, it is worth heading to the big cities of Madrid and Barcelona to wine and dine your partner. These world class cities have some great nightlife and incredible restaurants which serve up lovely Spanish food paired with exquisite wine. The architecture is also quite beautiful so you can wander, hand in hand, and admire these ancient cities.

Spain may be a mecca for package holidays, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a great romantic holiday. Best of all you can take advantage of cheap flights to get there, and then break off the beaten path to find a perfect retreat with that special someone.
